This is a bookcase made of solid wood, versatile in use and sinuous in form.
The peculiarity of this object lies in the fact that the shape of its sides makes it possible to put the elements one on top of the other or side by side, creating a sinuous composition which seems irregular but is in fact inherently stable.

Each element is modular and made of solid wood of various types, which can be painted with the woodgrain visible. The first examples have been made by hand by the cabinet-maker Claudio Colasante in laminated lime-wood. The external measurements are 61cm x 51cm x 35cm.

It can be used for various purposes:
As a concave, convex or disconnected modular bookcase;
As a totem, or isolated element - each container, thanks to the handles on its side, can be moved and repositioned while full;
As a high stool, chair or rocking chair;
As a table or coffee table base, or as a tray;
as a container for objects stored vertically.

These are two bookcases inspired by a man and a woman stretching out their hands to each other, standing near to each other, looking at each other, touching and hugging each other...

Each consists of two elements which can be moved independently, but which have complementary protuberances and recesses, so that they can be closed together completely and become an "in the round" fitting.
The main structure and back are identical.

G&BI have a light, sinuous frame, made with a length of curved wood.

Each element has maximum dimensions of 150cm x 240cm and its interior 90cm x 180cm can hold a human figure and the depth varies from 30cm to 60cm, according to use.
